Case Study

The Steadman Hawkins Research Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization based in Vail, Colorado. The Foundation seeks to keep people physically active late in to life through pioneering orthopedic research and education.  As with most non-profit organizations, one of the Foundation’s objectives is to secure sponsorship to fund innovative medical research.  In light of this goal, Peeples Ink decided to concentrate on the hockey study that the Foundation was conducting and garner national media attention to extend brand awareness.

Results:

Peeples Ink targeted and pitched the "Today Show" on the hockey study at the Steadman Hawkins Research Foundation.  The resulting piece, a three minute segment profiling the Steadman Hawkins Research Foundation's advances in orthopedic sports medicine aired in June, '07 with an estimated viewership of 3,656,000.  It created the perfect vehicle for securing sponsorships.
